On May 20 at 13:30 pm, a life plan sharing meeting for undergraduate students was held in Shuigonglou, College of Construction Engineering (CCE) on Chaoyang Campus to guide the junior students to better plan their future development with clear directions and firm determinations. The meeting was hosted by Student Counsellors Gao Yuchao and Tang Haiyan along with the Part-Time Student Career Counsellor Xiong Ziwei. Particularly, some outstanding undergraduate and graduate students were invited to share their own career plan experience of job-hunting, pursuing higher education and becoming civil workers.

Focusing on the theme of ‘Aspiring a Promising Career with a Long-Term Ambition’, three counsellors delivered speeches respectively. They expressed their affirmation, expectation and best wishes of a wonderful future for each student to achieve personal life value through continuous growth and gaining.

There came the sharing then. Five outstanding graduates analyzed the current trend of three main directions for future career plans, i.e., job-hunting, preparing for civil servant examination as well as for graduate entrance examination. Combined with relevant data in recent years, they gave detailed suggestions on how to make the appropriate choice according to their own circumstances and shared their own successful experience. At last, they answered questions raised by many students on how to clarify professional interests and goals and how to make choices about the directions for future development, etc.

The sharing meeting ended with a huge success. Particularly, it aroused great enthusiasms and expectations of junior students for their future and is a good opportunity for promoting the career education and employment guidance for their future development. It is significant for them to improve their career plan awareness and skills at this period.
