From July 9 to 11, 2021, the College of Construction Engineering held the "2021 National Summer Camp for College Students", which attracted 83 students from 45 universities across China. Aim to make college students from all over the country understand the philosophy of postgraduate training and academic resources of the College of Construction Engineering, to show the advantages and characteristics of the College, to attract outstanding students select the College of Construction Engineering to study for their master’s degree, to improve the structure of students, and to enhance the quality of postgraduate training, the College of Construction Engineering hosted the event. Under the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, to implement normalized epidemic prevention and control, the summer camp was held online.
On July 9, campers registered online to confirm their participation in the summer camp.
The opening ceremony was officially held at 9:00 a.m. on July 10. Prof. Wang Boxin, Deputy Dean of the College of Construction Engineering, introduced the College, and Ms. Wang Huidi, Director of the Office of Postgraduate General Management of the College of Construction Engineering, and Ms. Tang Haiyan, Postgraduate Secretary, communicated with the campers on issues such as examination free admission, application, study, scholarship, student activities, recognition of research achievements, graduation defense, employment, and doctoral studies.
On the afternoon of July 10, the College held academic forums on geological engineering and civil engineering. Eight professors from the College majoring in geological engineering and civil engineering gave academic lectures to the campers and communicated with them online.

On the morning of July 11, an exchange meeting with supervisors was held. The campers filled in their interested postgraduate supervisors, and the Postgraduate General Office established a bridge between the campers and their supervisors.
On the afternoon of July 11, the summer camp was closed and Prof. Wang Boxin, Deputy Dean of the College responsible for graduate education, announced the outstanding campers and welcomed outstanding students from universities across China to apply for the College of Construction Engineering of Jilin University.
Fu Long from China University of Mining and Technology, majoring in geological engineering, and Li Fuang from the College of Construction Engineering of Jilin University talked about their feelings of participating in this summer camp.
After the closing ceremony, the College issued electronic certificates to the campers who had participated in all the activities of the summer camp and mailed a souvenir with the badge of the College.
The successful summer camp enhances the understanding of the students from all over the country to the College of Construction Engineering of Jilin University, stimulates the interest of young people in studying and researching related disciplines of the College, fully demonstrates the characteristics of the College, makes the campers feel the strong academic and innovative atmosphere, builds a platform for students to communicate with the postgraduate instructors, and deeply impresses upon the potential outstanding college students to come to the College of Construction Engineering for further study.
