According to the "Implementation Rules for the Professional Diversion of Undergraduates Majoring in Civil Engineering of the Class of 2023 in the College Of Construction Engineering" and the "Publicity of the Ranking of the Professional Diversion Scores of Undergraduates Majoring in Civil Engineering of the Class of 2023 in the College Of Construction Engineering", the college organized the on-site professional diversion for undergraduates majoring in civil engineering of the class of 2023 in the second lecture hall of Li Siguang Building on the afternoon of April 16, 2024. Yan Guodong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Dean, all staff of the Undergraduate Teaching Office, and relevant counselors participated in this on-site professional diversion meeting. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Dean Bo Kun.
Deputy Dean Bo Kun first explained the implementation rules, on-site diversion operation procedures, and matters needing attention of this professional diversion to the undergraduates majoring in civil engineering of the class of 2023. He hoped that the students could combine their own actual situations, and independently choose their professional directions according to their interests and development goals. Subsequently, the participating students selected their majors in turn according to the ranking of their scores and signed for confirmation at the same time. The diversion site was in good order.
A total of 226 students were diverted in this professional diversion. The college will reorganize the classes according to the situation of professional diversion and carry out daily management according to the new classes. The implementation of the professional diversion work is an important measure for the college to closely focus on the fundamental task of fostering virtues through education, adhere to the principle of "taking undergraduate education as the foundation", and promote the "four returns". The purpose is to increase the challenge of academic studies and the space for professional choices, fully stimulate students' internal learning motivation, and improve the quality of talent cultivation.
