From June 28th to 30th, 2024, the 14th Jilin Provincial College Students' Structural Design Competition was successfully held at the Sheling Campus of Changchun University of Architecture. Many universities, including Jilin University, Jilin Jianzhu University, Northeast Electric Power University, and others participated in the competition. The participating team members demonstrated their superb structural design skills and creative concepts in the intense competition.

    After 12 hours of model making, the three participating teams from Jilin University, guided by teachers Zhu Shan and Zheng Shaopeng, achieved excellent results. The "Arknights" team, composed of Liu Xiaofei, Fang Zhou, and Luo Tingxiao, won the Grand Prize of Jilin Province and the Best Creativity Award. The "Guangzhou Tourism Team" composed of Song Zhaochen, Xu Yunxiang, and Liu Qiyuan won the First Prize of Jilin Province. The "Chaoyang Team" composed of Li Haolei, Wen Hao, and Zhang Xiang won the Second Prize of Jilin Province.

    The National College Students' Structural Design Competition is one of the funded projects of the nine national subject competitions jointly approved and issued by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance for the first time. Its purpose is to build a practical platform for engineering education in universities, further cultivate college students' innovative awareness, team collaboration, and engineering practice abilities, and effectively improve the quality of cultivating innovative talents. In the future, our college will continue to uphold the philosophy and purpose of the competition, continuously improve students' innovative thinking and design abilities, and continue to achieve excellent results in future competitions!
