College of Construction Engineering held a college-wide conference and the launch of the implementation program for the training of young and middle-aged teachers in the college

On December 14th, 2022, the College of Construction Engineering held a college-wide meeting and the launch of the colleges young and middle-aged teacher training implementation program online, which was attended by all faculty members of the college. The meeting was presided over by Vice President of Administration Wu Xinming.

Firstly, President Guo Wei deployed the work arrangements related to online final examinations and reported the main work of undergraduate teaching and laboratory construction in the college over the past year. Members of the leadership group of the college reported on the progress of the main work of discipline construction, scientific research, international cooperation and exchange, talent attraction and education, student development and administrative affairs, as well as the work arrangements for the winter holidays.

After the whole college meeting, a launching meeting was held for the implementation program of young and middle-aged teachers training in the College of Construction Engineering, and Cao Pinlu, vice president of the college, presided over the launching meeting. Firstly, Vice President Cao Pinlu introduced the target significance and main initiatives of the Program for Training Young and Middle-aged Teachers in the College of Construction Engineering, and announced the list of young and middle-aged teachers contacted by the leadership group of the college, and Vice President Zhang Wen announced the list of teaching team leaders, scientific research cooperation experts and main work tasks of the college in 2023.

Prof. Chen Chen and Prof. Chen Huie spoke on behalf of the scientific research cooperation experts, Mr. Bo Kun spoke on behalf of the teaching team leaders, and Mr. Li Xiaolin and Mr. Zhu Chaofan spoke on behalf of the young and middle-aged teachers.

President Guo Wei pointed out in his speech that the college is currently in a strategic opportunity period of development, and the overall momentum is upward, but it also faces many challenges. He hopes that the teaching team leaders and research cooperation experts appointed by the college will give more guidance and help to the young and middle-aged teachers, which is not only a sense of responsibility but also a sense of mission, and he hopes that senior teachers will further play the role of leading the new with the old. It is expected that young and middle-aged faculty members will continue the glorious tradition of the college and work actively and diligently in teaching and research. Following the spirit of pursuing excellence and working on the ground. It is hoped that young and middle-aged teachers will take the initiative to communicate more with their associated leadership team members, actively participate in teaching and research activities, and actively seek advice from experts in research cooperation across the college, so as to continuously improve their academic level and ability to educate students. Hope that all the faculty and staff will work together to promote the work in 2023.

Yi Changtao, secretary of the party committee, pointed out in his speech that he hoped the teachers of the college could take the construction of high-level disciplines as the common ideal and pursuit of all of them, strengthen unity, strengthen collaboration, overcome all difficulties, gather all strength, and promote the strategy of Three major projects of the university root in the college with the spirit of reform and innovation and the conscious action of working hard.

The main goal of the Implementation Plan for the Training of Young and Middle-aged Teachers in the College of Construction Engineering is to comprehensively improve the ideological and political quality, teaching and research ability, knowledge innovation ability and overall academic level of young and middle-aged teachers, so as to build a young and middle-aged faculty team that is politically strong, takes up important responsibilities, has good quality, is energetic, innovative and adapts to the future development needs of the college.
