On September 7, 2021 Online International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry,Education,Research and Application (Changchun)was officially opened. Our university set up 15 sub-forums in total with topics covering four series, i.e., basic study, applied study, theoretical study and bio-health study. Specifically, Forum on Frontiers of Advanced Drilling and Exploitation Technologies for Underground Resources was organized by the College of Construction Engineering (CCE) at Room 319, Shuigonglou, Chaoyang Campus with both online and offline conferences during September 8 to 9. The forum was chaired by Prof. Liu Baochang, Dean of Exploration Engineering Department, attended by the Deputy Dean Prof. Cao Pinlu, and over 50 experts, faculties and students from Russia, Ukraine and China.
During the conferences, 9 experts from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Siberian Federal University, St. Petersburg State University and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, 5 experts from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Dnipro National University, National Technical University of Dnipro Polytecnic, Dnipro National University of Railway Transport along with 9 faculties and college students of CCE delivered reports respectively focusing on hot technologies in new energy, polar regions, materials and other fields. Meanwhile they discussed and exchanged opinions about academic issues concerning natural gas hydrate exploitation technology, new drilling materials and drilling bits, alternative oil and gas drilling technology, ultra-deep scientific drilling technology and directional drilling technology, etc. Rigorous scientific research spirit and high-level research results have been witnessed in each report, and a lively academic atmosphere has been strengthened by full and deep exchanges and discussion of the questions raised actively by experts both online and attended personally.
At the end of the conference, Prof. Viacheslav Neskoromnykh, the fellow of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, from Siberian Federal University, Prof. Andrii Dreus from Dnipro National University and many other experts expressed their gratitude for having the opportunities to enjoy this wonderful academic feast held by CCE. The forum was a huge success.
CCE has accumulated rich experience for hosting this sub-forum in the past two consecutive years. Particularly, the success of this year’s forum witnessed the efforts we have made for seeking continuous and further international academic communication and cooperation among China, Russia and Ukraine during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is significant for prompting a deep and vast cooperation between China and the ‘belt and road’ countries.
