On 11th January, the “14th Five-Year Plan” National Key Research and Development Program Young Scientist Project “Spatial and Temporal Disaster Incubation and Brittle Damage Evolution of Rocky Slopes in the Suture Zone of the Transverse Mountain Region” leaded by Professor Zhang Wen from College of Construction Engineering of Jilin University held a project initiation and implementation plan demonstration meeting in online format.
Director Zhang Xian of Agenda 21 Management Center, Professor Guo Qing, Vice Director of Science and Technology Management Office of Research Institute of Jilin University, and Professor Guo Wei, President of College of Construction Engineering of Jilin University, attended the online session and delivered speeches to congratulate the project and expressed their full support to the project and its implementation. The session was hosted by Professor Wang Qing of our college.
The project implementation plan validation session was chaired by researcher Yueping Yin. 8 experts, Professor Huiming Tang, Researcher Mengtan Gao, Researcher Fawang Zhang, Professor Wancheng Zhu, Professor Qiangong Cheng, Professor Jianping Chen, and Director Donghong Tang, made valuable comments and suggestions on the research plan reported by the project leader.
In the afternoon of the same day, a discussion was held inside the project team, and Han Bo, the project research and finance assistant, reported on the relevant policies and documents to be noted during the implementation of the National Key R&D Program. The project leader and key personnel fully absorbed the suggestions made by the experts in the morning and discussed the joint expedition and related scientific research matters in 2023.
The project carried out research on the new theory and technology of geological disaster incubation and evolution of rocky slopes in the slab suture zone of the Hengduan Mountains. Based on the new theory of geological disaster conception and evolution of rocky slopes in the plate suture zone, a high-precision realistic modeling technology, microseismic monitoring and imaging technology and disaster evolution early warning technology are built to integrate the disaster research system of “Disaster Body Identification-Structure Exploration-Deformation Monitoring - Disaster Evolution Early Warning”, and to break through the key scientific and technical problems in disaster body conception, deformation structure investigation and disaster evolution in the terrain steep change zone.
It is reported that this project is the second key R&D project of “14th Five-Year Plan” led by our institute, with an execution period of 3 years, led by Jilin University and jointly executed by 2 universities, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Southwest Jiaotong University.
