The report on the work of the center was hosted by Academician Lin Xueyu, Director of Technical Committee of the Engineering Research Center. Professor Guo Wei, Director of the Center, delivered a work report, reporting the overall construction of the Engineering Research Center Center since the current evaluation cycle in 2019, engineering technology R&D capability and level, results transformation and industry contribution, discipline development and personnel and training, openness and operation management, and key work plan for 2023. The Technical Committee and the participating experts highly appreciated the progress made by the Center in terms of personnel team construction, major breakthroughs in engineering technology and typical cases of engineering, etc. They also highly appreciated the Center for taking the national new energy demand as the guide, facing the national carbon neutral strategy, carrying out research on geothermal development technology and equipment, promoting the transformation of scientific research results into engineering applications, improving the technical level of geothermal resource development and utilization, and making great progress in geothermal resource development and utilization and The Center has made great progress in geothermal resources development and utilization and equipment research and development. At the same time, the Center made suggestions on the direction, objectives, and tasks of its next work. At the midpoint of the five-year evaluation by the Ministry of Education, it is expected that the Center will further strengthen the engineering capability of the Center by strengthening university-enterprise cooperation, interdisciplinary and international cooperation, and by combining with national major projects to build the Center into a first-class geothermal engineering innovation research platform, results transformation base and excellent professional talent training base.
The academic report of the center was hosted by Professor Xu Tianfu, and the five research directions of the engineering research center made academic reports. Professor Shan Xuanlong, Professor Zeng Zhaofa, Professor Chen Zubin, Professor Gao Ke and Professor Jiang Zhenjiao reported the latest scientific research results and progress of engineering innovation.
The Engineering Research Center of Geothermal Resources Development Technology and Equipment of the Ministry of Education, relying on Jilin University, was approved for construction by the Ministry of Education in 2009, passed the acceptance in 2018, and received excellent evaluation by the Ministry of Education in 2019. Facing the national strategy of double carbon and focusing on the strategic planning of the new national energy field, the engineering research center is oriented to the urgent demand for new equipment and technology in the field of geothermal energy development and geothermal heating and carries out basic innovation, applied technology, and engineering research on the detection technology and instruments of geothermal resources, drilling technology and equipment, geothermal development and utilization, and environmental evaluation.
