The 12th Jilin Province Structural Design Competition for College Students was successfully held from September 24th to 26th, 2022. Twenty representative teams from multiple schools, such as Jilin University, Northeast Electric Power University, and Jilin Jianzhu University, participated in the competition. The competition was divided into two stages: model-making and loading. Given the current situation with the pandemic, the model-making stage was conducted remotely online via Tencent Meeting, while the loading stage took place at the main venue in Jilin City. The second team of Jilin University, composed of Yan Xinyi, Xiang Shuanglin, and Sun Zhongyu, guided by professors Zhu Shan and Zheng Shaopeng, and the first team of Jilin University, composed of Zhu Yangguang, Fang Shule, and Liu Enbo, won first and second place, respectively, and obtained the qualification to participate in the 15th National Structural Design Competition for College Students.

The National Structural Design Competition for College Students is one of the nine national college student discipline competitions designated by the Ministry of Education. Every year, over 600 schools participate in the competition. Our university has participated in the competition for twelve consecutive years, and during these twelve years, we have won three second prizes, three third prizes, seven special prizes in the provincial competition, ten first prizes, three second prizes, one third prize, and eleven individual awards, as well as ten excellent organization awards.
