College of Construction Engineering Successfully Held 2022 Young Teachers Teaching Proficiency Competition and Bilingual Teaching Competition for Young and Middle-aged Teachers

In order to further promote the main theme of teaching work and comprehensively improve the professionalism and teaching ability of young teachers, according to the Jilin University Young Teachers Teaching Proficiency Competition Organization and Management Measures (No.17, 2018), the College of Construction Engineering held the 2022 Young Teachers Teaching Proficiency Competition and the Bilingual Teaching Competition for Young and Middle-aged Teachers in accordance with the specific requirements of the Notice on the 10th Young Teachers Teaching Proficiency Competition of Jilin University and the Notice on the 7th Bilingual Teaching Competition for Young and Middle-aged Teachers of Jilin University on August 15th, 2022 in classroom 201 of the Oil Shale Building.

The competition invited Associate Professor Li Xiaolin, a member of the teaching committee of the college and the first prize winner of the university-level young teachers teaching level competition, as the judge, and Professor Chen Baoyi, the director of the teaching committee, as the head of the judging team. The competition was presided over by Prof. Guo Wei, the Executive President.

Through the mobilization, qualification selection and pre-competition training organized by the departments of the college before the competition, a total of 7 teachers participated in the preliminary round of the college, which was divided into two categories: Young Teachers Teaching Proficiency Competition and Bilingual Teaching Competition. All the participating teachers showed their teaching quality around the courses they taught. With reference to the grading index system, the judges evaluated the participating teachers comprehensively and objectively in terms of teaching content, teaching methods, teaching skills, teaching effectiveness, teaching characteristics and preparation of lesson plans. At the same time, they made pertinent suggestions from the aspects of teaching content design, integration of thinking and politics, clarity of expression, as well as board writing and interaction.

After the intense and fierce competition throughout the morning, the young teachers all achieved excellent results. Professor Chen Baoyi, head of the judging team of the competition, summarized the teaching competition. He fully affirmed the teaching level of the participating teachers and their commitment and attention to undergraduate teaching, and hoped that they would continue to polish and improve the teaching content, participate in the final of the university with a full attitude, and fully demonstrate the teaching style of the young teachers of the college.
