On October 28, 2021, the signing ceremony of technology transfer (patent right) between the College of Construction Engineering of Jilin University （CCE） and Jinshi Drilltech Co., Ltd. (Jinshi) was held in Meeting Room 319 of Shuigong Building. The delegation of Jinshi consisted of General Manager Huilan He, Executive General Manager Weiting Huang, Director of Drill Plant Chao Wang, Office Director Jie Li and the office staff Jie Zhou. The ceremony was moderated by Wen Zhang, the deputy dean of CCE, and attended by Wei Guo, the Executive Dean of CCE, Ke Gao, Director of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, Jian Lu, Office Director and Yan Zhao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Prospecting Engineering.
On behalf of CCE, Prof. Guo Wei, the executive dean, extended a warm welcome to the arrival of General Manager Huilan He and the delegation. He pointed out that as a "small giant" enterprise (focusing on high-quality new products in special fields), Jinshi was one of the drafters of the National Standard of Geological Core Drilling Tools, and had been leading the development of domestic diamond geological core drilling tools. He also recalled the origin of cooperation with Jinshi, and hoped that both sides would give full play to their advantages, deeply integrate with each other, explore new ideas, carry out deeper cooperation in talent training, social practice, and employment practice, and jointly build a new model of school-enterprise cooperation.
GM Huilan He expressed her heartfelt thanks to the college and spoke highly of a number of high-tech achievements with good industrialization prospect, such as bionic drill bits, developed by CCE to serve the national strategy and meet the needs of the society. She hopes that both sides will take this patent achievement transformation agreement as an opportunity to focus on key core technologies, actively deepen the cooperation and join hands to promote scientific and technological innovation.Deputy Dean Wen Zhang introduced the college from the aspects of discipline, professional history, staff, scientific research, and student employment. Weiting Huang, Executive General Manager of Jinshi, introduced the company from the aspects of corporate culture, main products, and the whole industrial chain layout. At the signing ceremony, Professor Ke Gao who is in charge of patent achievements, introduced the research and development background of the transferred patent, the bionic self-balancing adaptive theory proposed by the team and the rig free bionic self-balancing adaptive drilling system guided by the theory and more than ten other initiated scientific achievements.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Weiting Huang and Prof. Ke Gao signed the Technology Transfer (Patent Right) Contract of A PDC- Impregnated Block Hybrid Adaptive Drilling Bit and 3 Other Patents on behalf of both parties.
The technology transfer includes four patented technologies: a one-piece cutting tooth impregnated diamond bit, a PDC-impregnated block hybrid adaptive bit, a kind of low-temperature matrix impregnating material for rock cutting tools and preparation method, and an experimental device and method for positioning and arranging of impregnated diamond bit. The transfer cost is RMB 2 million.
