Recently winners of“Touching Jilin 2019”were announced and South Pole Expedition Team from Jilin University was on the list, for their outstanding performance and remarkable breakthrough in the scientific investigation at South Pole.

“Touching Jilin”award was initiated in 2003. It aims at commending team and individual with dedication and excellence, and spreading their stories to bring warmth, love and courage to others.

Since 2011, College of Construction Engineering has sent expedition team to South Pole 7 times. 26 people have joined the team. Thanks to their hard work and selfless contribution, great breakthroughs have been made in the investigation at South Pole.

It is convinced that, with the unswerving effort of the team and faculty, the college will achieve more breakthroughs, and make more contributions to the research of polar region.
