The launching meeting and consultation meeting on the implementation plan of the National Key R&D Program “Research and Development of Continuous Core Technology for Precision Exploration and Directional Drilling” was successfully held

On May 6th, the launching meeting and consultation meeting of the implementation plan of the National Key Research and Development Program Research and Development of Frontier Technology of Precision Exploration Directional Drilling and Continuous Coring, led by Jilin University and undertaken by Associate Professor Ma Yinlong of the College of Construction Engineering as the project leader, was successfully held. More than 40 people attended the meeting, including academician Lin Jun, Minister of Geology of our university, academician Sun Youhong, President of China University of Geosciences (Beijing), researcher Lu Qingtian, Vice President of China Academy of Geological Sciences, Wang Hao, Vice General Manager of Xian Research Institute of China Coal Technology Group Co., Ltd, Ran Hengqian, Vice Director of Institute of Exploration Technology of China Academy of Geological Sciences, Professor Zhu Wancheng of Northeastern University, Qin Yuan, Deputy Director of China Agenda 21 Management Center Division, Professor Chang Yi, President of College of Scientific Research of our university, and other leaders and experts as well as the main participants of the project.


The morning validation meeting was hosted by Professor Guo Wei, Executive President of College of Construction Engineering, Jilin University. Deputy Director Qin Yuan in her speech hoped that the project team would make the characteristics of the young scientist project under the unified management of the special office of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the guidance of the expert group, and also put forward the corresponding requirements for the project organization and management by each unit of the project team.

On behalf of the project leader institute, Prof. Chang Yi, President of the College of Scientific Research, extended a sincere welcome and heartfelt thanks to the guests. He expressed that the approval of this project fully reflects the vigorous R&D vitality and unlimited development potential of the project team in the field of new exploration methods and equipment, and hoped that the project team could fully exercise their scientific research ability, accumulate experience in project organization and management, and successfully complete the project tasks.

Vice President Wang Hao and Deputy Director Ran Hengqian made a statement on behalf of the project participants, expressing confidence and ability to complete the research tasks undertaken and promising full support in terms of policy, funding and transformation to implement the innovation-driven strategy.

Project leader Ma Yinlong made a general report on the research background, research objectives, research content, task decomposition, schedule, organization and management, expected results and funding budget arrangement of the project. The experts listened carefully to the report, reviewed the implementation plan, and formed an evaluation opinion through questioning and discussion, technical guidance and comprehensive comments, and unanimously agreed that the project implementation plan has detailed research contents, reasonable technical routes, appropriate methods and technical measures, clear assessment indicators and expected results, reasonable project task settings and schedule, and feasible implementation plan.


The consultation meeting in the afternoon was chaired by Professor Zhang Wen, Vice President of College of Construction Engineering, Jilin University. Ma Yinlong introduced the overall situation of the project, and the task leaders put forward the problems that might be encountered in the subsequent implementation process respectively, and communicated deeply with the consulting experts. Through this meeting, the division of labor and responsibilities of personnel were further implemented, and the project team expressed their determination to overcome difficulties, solidly promote innovative research, actively refine technical highlights, and continue their efforts to complete this project with quality and quantity.
